Amanda Nordstrand
Senior Finance and Payroll Officer
Amanda has worked for the organisation since early 2023 in Finance, Payroll and HR. Originally from Sweden, she is a passionate gardener focusing on edibles and diverse flowers and herbs for the much-needed insects in the environment. She has a strong passion also for sustainability and tries to teach her family and friends of making better choices for a better welfare of animals and fauna.
Amanda manages our internal payroll, debtors and creditors, day to day bank reconciliations, month end reporting and our project and resource management system updates.
In her time at ThirdStory, Amanda has taken on greater responsibilities and activities, and grown her role to a more senior position. Since 2023, she has reviewed and streamlined processes and procedures to ensure better time management and efficiency and supported the implementation of a new project and resource management IT system across the organisation. Amanda feels at her strongest in structured roles with defined responsibilities.
Prior to joining ThirdStory, Amanda worked for different Recruitment Companies and Staffing Agencies for 15 years. Her longest role lasted for 10 years, where she started as a Debtor’s Clerk and worked her way up to be Corporate Services Manager. Responsibilities included day to day finance tasks, month end/year end reporting, payroll, QA, budgeting, liaising with stakeholders and managing IT providers to name a few.
Amanda has completed a Certificate VI and Diploma of Business Management.
