Keren is a systems change leader with a deep commitment to making social systems more human. She works at the intersection of policy, practice, and lived experience, shaping strategies that shift entrenched ways of working and create new possibilities for communities to thrive.
As CEO of ThirdStory, Keren leads the organisation’s mission to develop and scale transformative solutions across education, health, and social systems. She is driven by a belief in the power of collective action and works with government, community organisations, and service providers to design, test, and embed solutions that challenge inequities and create better futures. Keren plays a key role in forging new collaborations, leading international expansion, and ensuring that ThirdStory’s work remains grounded in trust, relationships, and impact at scale.
Keren has extensive experience in leading complex change initiatives, including driving education reform in Bermuda and supporting system-wide transformation efforts in education, the early years and out of home care in Australia and beyond. Her expertise spans research, social policy design, and implementation—guiding communities, organisations, and policymakers to navigate uncertainty, harness collective intelligence, and build capability for lasting change.
Prior to ThirdStory, Keren co-founded and led Innovation Unit Australia New Zealand for almost a decade before the organisation rebranded as ThirdStory in 2025 working globally to pioneer new models of learning, care, and support. She has held executive roles in education and the public sector, focusing on leadership development, policy innovation, and system-wide scaling of new approaches. This includes 5 years as General Manager of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership leading the implementation of the Teacher Standards, the Principal Standard and Australia's first cross-country, cross-sectoral school innovation partnership
